Manage images and assets

Use the Nezify library, upload eligible image files and manage storage without breaking designs.

Before you start

Open a catalog design through Settings → Manage templates → Customize, then open Assets on the left toolbar. The Nezify library is available on every plan. New merchant uploads require Starter or higher and available image-upload capacity. Use images you are authorized to include in your catalog.

See Plans and limits for current allowances and access.

Step 1 — Choose a page and search the library

  1. Choose the page section first, such as Cover or Catalog pages.
  2. Open Assets → Nezify library.
  3. Search for a term or choose a category. Use the category arrows for groups off the edge.
  4. Choose an enabled asset for the intended action, or drag it where supported.
  5. Inspect the active page before saving.

The library is available on every plan and does not consume merchant-upload capacity. Product card restricts library decorations; a disabled library item can be a context restriction rather than a missing plan entitlement. Changing section tabs can return the tools to Layout, so reopen Assets in the new context.

Product card is selected. The library restriction is visible in its Assets panel; decorations are added from supported page sections.

Step 2 — Add an eligible image

  1. Open Assets → My uploads.
  2. Check the upload storage meter before adding files.
  3. Choose Upload images and select JPEG/JPG, PNG or WebP files. The input limit is 20 MB per file.
  4. Watch the tile progress: waiting, uploading and optimizing can appear before the image is ready.
  5. Read a failed tile’s message. Retry when offered, or remove that failed tile and choose a valid file.
  6. Once ready, select or apply the image to the intended design action.

Starter and higher allow new merchant uploads. A successful general upload adds the file to My uploads; it does not automatically replace a canvas image. Files must pass decoding and dimension checks; invalid or animated inputs can be rejected.

Step 3 — Apply or reuse an image

  1. Select the target image/frame or open the relevant page-background image action.
  2. In My uploads, choose the finished image for that action. Supported dragging can also place an asset on the canvas.
  3. To use a stored image as a background, open its individual actions menu and choose Use as page background where offered.
  4. Check image placement and text contrast before saving the design.

Reusing an upload does not upload or charge for another stored copy. The selected section and block type determine which actions are available.

Step 4 — Check storage use

Paid image-upload capacity: Starter 500 MB; Growth 2 GB; Business 10 GB. Usage counts the original uploaded file size, even when the stored image is optimized.

This is stored-image capacity, not a monthly allowance. It does not reset each month. Reusing a stored image does not charge its size again. The Nezify library, generated PDFs and previews do not use merchant-upload capacity. Read the meter’s information control for the current accounting explanation.

Use the information control next to the storage meter for its accounting explanation. A nearly empty percentage can still represent stored files; the text meter shows the actual used capacity. Deleting a file is different from merely removing it from one page.

Step 5 — Manage selected uploads

  1. Open an uploaded image’s individual actions menu.
  2. For a single image, choose Delete. For several images, choose Select or use a tile checkbox, select the intended files and choose the selection bar’s Delete.
  3. Review the confirmation before proceeding. Cancel if the selection is wrong.
  4. If an image is in use, remove its design references first; referenced images are protected from deletion.

Deletion is different from removing a failed upload tile. Keep your own original files. To preserve a design, replace or remove its image references deliberately before deleting the asset.

Expected result

The intended image is visible in its supported design action, or your selected unused files have been managed deliberately. A successful upload, selection and application are separate states; check each one before saving the design.

Important notes for image management

  • Keep original files you need outside the app.
  • Original uploaded bytes count toward capacity even when stored images are optimized.
  • Removing a reference can make an upload unused; deleting the upload then removes the stored asset.
  • Bulk selection alone deletes nothing. Review a deletion confirmation carefully and cancel if the selection is wrong.

Troubleshooting images

  • Upload rejected: check JPEG/PNG/WebP, the 20 MB input limit, decoding/dimensions and the tile’s message.
  • Capacity reached: storage does not reset monthly; remove unused files or review a suitable plan.
  • Cannot delete: remove current design references first.
  • Library action disabled: check whether you are in Product card or another unsupported action context.
