Setting Up the TapTop Scroll Theme App Embed
Connect TapTop Scroll, enable its Shopify theme app embed, save the theme, and verify the storefront control.
TapTop Scroll uses a Shopify theme app embed, so you can enable the storefront control without manually editing Liquid files.
1. Connect the Shopify store
Open the TapTop Scroll installation route for your store and complete the Shopify authorization flow. After connection, the dashboard identifies the installed store and provides access to the relevant Theme Editor.
2. Open Shopify Theme Editor
From the app dashboard, use the Theme Editor link. In Shopify Theme Editor, open the App embeds area for the current theme.
3. Enable the TapTop embed
Find the TapTop Scroll app embed and turn it on. Save the theme changes before leaving Theme Editor.
4. Configure the app dashboard
Return to the TapTop dashboard, choose the visible settings, use the preview to check the result, and save the configuration.
5. Verify the storefront
Open a targeted storefront page and scroll down. The button should appear after the page has moved beyond the initial viewport. If the progress bar is enabled, it should update as the page scrolls.
If the control is not visible
- Confirm the theme app embed is enabled and the theme was saved.
- Check that the current page matches the selected page targeting.
- Scroll far enough for the button visibility threshold.
- Review the dashboard preview to confirm the saved configuration.
